Have you heard of the Flash Mobs that have been taking the world by surprise over the last few years?
These ‘mobs’ are usually a group of dancers or singers that seem to be normal passers by in a crowded place (think train station, shopping centre), that all of a sudden start dancing or singing in unison. The purpose is to bring awareness to a cause, company or charity, and brings joy to the people that happen to be passing by!
Well a new trend is sweeping the world – Meditation Flash Mobs! Here’s a snippet from the ‘MedMob’ website…
This movement, known as MedMob, began in January 2011 when 60 people launched a meditation flash mob in Austin at the Texas State Capitol landmark. In February, the Austin MedMob grew to 250 people with seven other cities hosting their own MedMobs. The movement has now expanded across the globe with MedMob’s hosted in nearly every continent!
Imagine 200 people meditating in your city… and 200 people meditating from 250 other cities on the same day… imagine all the people, living life in peace…

If you are in Sydney, I’ll see you at the MedMob this weekend at the MCA!
